Mailchimp to Google Sheets
Download campaign reports from Mailchimp, or have them land in a spreadsheet on a schedule.
Mailchimp gives you a CSV per campaign, or one big export of all of them. Either opens in Google Sheets.
The free way: export campaign reports
One campaign: open Campaigns, click View report, then Actions, then Export CSV.
Every campaign: open View analytics, click Download All Reports, then Generate Export. Mailchimp emails you when it's ready. Subscriber-level stats aren't included.

On Standard or higher, custom reports compare campaigns side by side and export to CSV or PNG.

In Google Sheets, choose File, then Import, and upload the CSV.
On a schedule with Fresh Sheets
- Install Fresh Sheets from the Google Workspace Marketplace.
- In your spreadsheet, choose Extensions, then Fresh Sheets, then Open sidebar, and connect your Google account.
- Create an API key in your Mailchimp account.
- In your Fresh Sheets account, open Sources and paste the key.
- Back in the sidebar, click New report and choose Mailchimp.
- Pick your fields, set the dates and a schedule, choose the tab, and click Save and run.
What lands in the tab
One row per campaign: send date, campaign, subject line, audience, campaign type and campaign ID, with emails sent, unique and total opens, open rate, unique and total clicks, click rate, unsubscribes, hard and soft bounces, spam complaints and forwards. Days follow your Mailchimp account's time zone. Where Mailchimp has no figure, the cell is left blank.
Good to know
- Mailchimp's API keys can't be limited to reading. Ours only ever makes two named reads, and deleting the key in Mailchimp cuts access.
- A report's date range can hold up to 1,000 campaigns.
- Filters work on text fields, not on send date or campaign ID.
- Your subscribers' names and email addresses are never read.
