Setup
Three steps, done once
- 01Share a dataset with Fresh Sheets. In Google Cloud, give Fresh Sheets' service account the BigQuery Data Editor role on the dataset you want to use.
- 02Add the label. Give the dataset the freshsheets label your account shows you, so nobody else can point Fresh Sheets at your dataset.
- 03Choose a report and a table. On the report's page, send it to BigQuery and name its table. Fresh Sheets creates it.

What Fresh Sheets touches
Fresh Sheets creates and writes only tables it has labelled as its own, plus a temporary table that is deleted after each write. It never reads the contents of any other table, or changes or deletes one.

Questions
Which location does my dataset need to be in?
Any location. Fresh Sheets writes to your dataset wherever it is.
What happens if I stop sending a report to BigQuery?
The table and everything in it stay in your dataset. The report keeps refreshing its spreadsheet.
What happens to my tables if I move to Plus?
Fresh Sheets stops writing to them, and nothing in them changes. Move back to Pro or Max to start sending again.
Can I send a report to a table that already exists?
Only one Fresh Sheets made for this report. It won't write to any other table.
