Google publishes its own Google Analytics MCP server, for read requests only, which you run yourself with pipx. It needs:
- Python 3.10 or higher
- A Google Cloud project with the Analytics Admin and Data APIs turned on
- Application Default Credentials

Limits
Each time Claude lists or fetches something is one request, and one question can take a few.

- Listing your sources, fields and reports doesn't count towards the daily figure.
- An answer has up to 100 rows unless Claude asks for more. When one is cut short, Claude is told, so it can say so or ask for less.
Your data
Claude reads your figures live, and you can remove it whenever you like.
- Every tool only reads. None can change a campaign, a property, a setting or a report.
- Figures are fetched from the source when Claude asks and handed straight to Claude.
- Fresh Sheets records each request that reaches a source, never the figures.
- Remove Claude any time in your Fresh Sheets account, under Destinations, then Connected AI tools. Its access ends within 5 minutes.
Questions
Is there a GA4 MCP server I don't have to run myself?
Fresh Sheets runs this one for you. You add one address to Claude and sign in, with no Python, Google Cloud project or credentials file to set up.
Can Claude read my custom dimensions?
Yes. Claude asks Fresh Sheets which fields your property offers, custom dimensions and metrics included, before it fetches.
What is Fresh Sheets, and do I need Google Sheets?
Fresh Sheets connects your marketing sources once and keeps reports up to date in your spreadsheets or BigQuery on a schedule. Its MCP server lets Claude read the same sources. You don't need to use Google Sheets for Claude to read them.
Which AI tools does it work with?
We've tested it with Claude, on claude.ai and in Claude Code. It's an MCP server, so other AI tools that support MCP may be able to connect, but we haven't tested any.
Which Claude plans can add it?
Every Claude plan can add a custom connector. Claude's Free plan allows one.
