What lands in BigQuery

  • Order figures: subtotal, discounts, shipping, tax, refunds and net payment, totalled by the columns you pick.
  • Products sold: units and sales by product, variant, SKU or vendor.
  • Include Day or Week starting and history builds up. Month on its own replaces the table each run.
  • Test orders are left out. Up to 10,000 orders a run.

Google lists a Shopify connector in preview in its BigQuery Data Transfer Service, free while it's in preview.

Create an app in your Shopify admin with the two order-reading permissions, install it, and paste the store address, client ID and secret on the Sources page of your Fresh Sheets account.

Which plans send to BigQuery

Pro and Max, and the free 30 days. Sending to BigQuery uses no extra refreshes: one run counts once, wherever it lands.

FAQ

Questions

Can an agency connect a client's store?

The store owner, or staff allowed to develop apps, creates the app, because collaborators can't. They then share the client ID and secret with you.

Which currency?

The store's, summed exactly. If a report mixes currencies, include the Currency column, or the run stops rather than add pounds to dollars.
