How to connect Shopify to Excel
To export Shopify orders to Excel you need a work or school Microsoft account with OneDrive, and a Shopify store you can create an app in.
- 01In your Shopify admin, create an app with the two order-reading permissions and install it. On the Sources page, choose Connect store and enter the store address, client ID and client secret, then choose Check and save.
- 02In Fresh Sheets, go to Destinations, choose Connect Microsoft Excel and sign in with your work or school Microsoft account.
- 03Choose New report, pick Shopify and the account, then the report type, fields and date range.
- 04Under Destination, pick the workbook and worksheet. Under Schedule, pick how often. Then Save and run.
Columns Shopify writes to Microsoft Excel

An example
Insert a PivotTable on a separate worksheet that reads from the Orders by day worksheet, with Sales channel in Rows and Net payment in Values.
Scheduling and refresh
How often depends on your plan: every week on Free, every day on Plus, every 6 hours on Pro and every hour on Max.
Each run that succeeds counts once towards your plan, wherever it sends.
Each run replaces the worksheet with the latest figures.
Other ways to do it
Shopify can export your orders as a CSV file from the Orders page of your admin.

This Shopify Excel integration writes the totals you choose straight into your worksheet instead.
What this doesn't cover
Customer details, your product catalogue and inventory aren't included. This reads orders and the products sold in them.
Only the worksheets your reports use
While you choose where a report goes, Fresh Sheets reads the names of the files and folders in your OneDrive and shows you only folders and workbooks. When a report refreshes, it reads and replaces that report's own worksheet. It creates a new workbook only when you ask it to, and doesn't change or delete anything else in your OneDrive.
Questions
How can I extract data from Shopify?
Create an app in your Shopify admin with the two order-reading permissions and choose Connect store on the Sources page. Then build an orders or products sold report, and Fresh Sheets writes it to your worksheet on a schedule.
